Women’s roles in life have changed dramatically throughout history right up to the current culture. It is more confusing now than ever trying to work out who we as women are supposed to be and what we are supposed to do with our lives. 

What are women’s issues?

Women’s issues are any issues that women as a collective tend to face. Some examples but are not limited to are

  • The pressures of keeping all the plates spinning in their lives which usually means they put themselves last when it comes to nourishment and care

    • Wearing too many hats in their lives. Eg. Being a mother, wife, daughter, coworker, business owner, main person in the household, etc.

  • Feeling in charge of the family household such as cooking and meal planning, cleaning, taking care of children and their needs, supporting partner’s needs, errands, taking care of other family members

  • Inequailty in the workplace

  • Sexual hurrasment

  • Pregnancy, miscarage, abortion

  • Domestic violence 

  • Body shame

  • Feeling the social pressures to look and be a certain way

  • An overwhelming amount of choices in life

These issues for women can cause emotions to surface such as: 

  • Overwhelmed

  • Undervalued

  • Unseen

  • Stuck

  • Shameful

  • Exhausted

  • Burnout 

  • Helplessness

  • Lonliness

  • Forgetten

  • Guilt

  • Angery

  • Confused
