Depression Counselling (2).jpg

What is Depression?

One in every six person will suffer from depression at one or more times in their life. Depression can be a very debilitating illness. Symptoms of depression will vary from person to person but generally they can include:

  • A loss of interest in life

  • Over or under eating

  • Bouts of immense sadness

  • Loss of energy

  • Poor attention span

  • Feelings of hopelessness

  • Suicidal thoughts

If you have been suffering from any of the above symptoms for an extended period, please seek help. Counselling & psychotherapy can help to alleviate your symptoms and over time, provide you with understanding of the root causes of this illness.

Together, and in the safety and supportive environment of the counselling room, we will address the core cause of your depression. You will learn and practice techniques that will challenge your depressive thinking and subsequent behaviour. Through counselling you will be given the space to learn and develop interpersonal skills that will help to alleviate your symptoms and feel more fulfilled in your relationships.

Are you experiencing any of the symptoms discussed on this page? If so, don't ignore your symptoms and make the first step to recovery by getting in touch.
