Adolescent Counselling (1).jpg

Adolescent Therapy

This aspect of the therapeutic approach is geared  toward supporting pre-teens and adolescents through complicating factors in their  developmental journey i.e. bullying, eating disorders, peer relationships, self-esteem  issues, identity, sexuality, cyber-safety, anxiety, low mood, communication issues,  emotional expression and development. Adolescents is a time of great change for the individual and the family.

Bringing a family together and creating a space to communicate and explore challenges leads to better outcomes for young people, often times in a very short space of time. One of the benefits of the family approach is that it does not isolate one individual or appropriate blame. This approach looks at the many levels of family functioning and life to resource both teens and their parents to manage challenges differently.
